"I always know where to find Rich, because he is ALWAYS working in the neighborhood." That statement, made by a resident in one of Rich's plats, is slightly exaggerated. After all, he couldn't possibly be in all his neighborhoods, and in the office, and off on one of his custom job sites all at once. He is, however, one of the hardest working people you'll meet, and his customers get the benefit of his industriousness. If the job needs doing, Rich does it right away. And getting in touch with him is sometimes as easy as walking up the street.

Rich is not just a workhorse, he's also an entrepreneur. "I stick my neck out every time I start a new home. A lot of people's livelihoods depend on my ability to get the job done, and that keeps me motivated." This spirit has kept him busy since he left Case in the early 1990's, and he still works all aspects of the business. His background in heavy machinery means he can work all the jobsite toys. "There's nothing better to me than being out on the site, moving dirt with a dozer and making things happen."

Helping him along the way are his work crew and a dedicated office staff. Rich has two very dedicated ladies that keep his office running smoothly. Office manager, Jan Ellis and Customer Service liason Mindi Smith. Both are very active in all aspects of Rich's business. When Rich isn't available these ladies can and will take care of you! "I really enjoy working with people," says Jan, who handles customer service in addition to her administrative duties. "I've seen people do some great things in their homes, and it always gets us thinking about what features to put in our spec houses." Jan works at the Cornerstone office full time, so she is always just a phone call away. Mindi came to Cornerstone after working at Yarrow Conference Center as an assistant manager in housekeeping, she is a master at multitasking. In addition to his crackerjack crew, Rich employs the same sub-contractors time and time again. "I always know I'll get a better response from them, since I'm their bread-and-butter," says Rich. "It's like a big family."
